Strategies

Every stakeholder has a critical role to play in advancing the democratization effort. Key stakeholder groups—teachers, researchers, philanthropies, policy makers, community members, parents, and students—can mobilize support within their communities to promote the four guiding principles through tangible action and implementation strategies.

Note that the working definition of "evidence" in developing these stakeholder strategies refers to findings derived from systematic, empirical research, as well as data and information generated through other rigorous means.

because of their important role in producing research evidence.

because of their investment role in field-building.

for their leading role in education reform and improvement.

because of their front-line role as the voice of the values and aspirations for education.

Additional strategies will be developed in partnership with other stakeholder groups who have a vested interest in and responsibility for decision making in education.
